The sailing areas in Italy are: Liguria, Tuscany, Amalfi and Calabria. Particularly beautiful are the sailing areas around Sicily and Sardinia, although these are rather challenging. The rest of the areas are also suitable for beginners. The sailing season is from May to October.Advantages:

What to expect when sailing in Italy:
- 30°C air temperature in the summer months
- Warm water temperatures
- Winds: Mistral and Scirocco (beware of sudden gusts)
- Expensive marinas (especially in August)
- Boat license necessary, but no radio license
- Easy to reach
